About Great Wishford Parish Council Website - Representing the Residents of Great Wishford
Wishford Magna, or Great Wishford to give it its modern name, lies in a bend of the River Wylye, three miles upstream from Wilton. Rivers need to be crossed, and although not on a major route, the ford over the Wylye, or Willey was a place of some importance.
Great Wishford is the home of the Oak Apple Club, celebrating Oak Apple Day on May 29th each year.
The purpose of this website is to provide information, not only about the Parish Council itself but about other groups, activities and facilities within the Parish.
If you are involved in any of these and would like some information included on this site, please contact the Webmaster.
